Joao Cancelo can be considered for a sure addition to Barcelona since the summer, claims the Spanish editions. According to the information, the Portuguese national alone chose to continue his career at the Camp Nou, although he has been an object of a lot of serious interest from Bayern Munich and Chelsea.
Barcelona and Valencia have now finalized the transfer of Cancelo which would still be a fact officially after the end of the current season. The Portuguese international with the Catalans will be for five years. At the Camp Nou, they are sure that this is a sound investment in the future. The transfer fee is at the amount of 30 million euros.
The agent of the 22-year-old Portuguese defender insisted the deal to take place in January, but the authority of Barcelona postponed the transfer for the summer because of a lack of fresh funds.
