Southampton fired Claude Puel

The management of Southampton decided to fire the team`s Manager Claude Puel after just one season at the helm of the team. The Saints, however, have not pointed out the name of the substitute of Puel, as it is expected to happen in the coming days.
`Everyone in Southampton would like to express their gratitude to Claude for his hard work during the year. The biggest success for the club by rugby tips during the season was the final of the League Cup at Wembley, which for the fans will always remain something special!`, the statement said.
In his only season at the helm of the club, Puel brought it to the finish line for the League Cup, but in the League and the League Europe presentation of the Saints was not good enough. The team finished on the eighth place in the Premier League with 46 points, with 47 less than the champion Chelsea and is 15 behind the seventh while Everton in the Europa League group stage dropped out.
