Courtois overtakes De Gea in terms of salary

The Chelsea goalie Thibault Courtois is getting closer to a new contract with the club. Although he recently hinted at his desire to return to Spain where his two children lived, the Belgian guard seems ready to stay at Stamford Bridge. The Telegraph argues that Courtois will become the most expensive goalkeeper in the world. With the bonuses, he will earn more than 200, 000 pounds a week, which receives David de Gea in Manchester United. The current contract of Courtois expires in the summer, and Chelsea`s offer is to bind the club by arbitrage betting middles by 2023. Stamford Bridge has made every effort to decide the future of the Belgian in the early days of the New Year, and have left behind the attempts to secure the services of Jack Butland of Stoke City.

Courtois has already refused to extend his contract in May, but Chelsea`s second offer will be even more attractive. C urrently, the 25-year-old goalkeeper wins 100, 000 pounds a week. Chelsea has been delighted with the news that Real Madrid will attract younger Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Bilbao because it actually means that the Royal club at least temporarily gives up on Courtois. Santiago Bernabeu`s transfer was an alternative to former Atletico goalkeeper Madrid, but now he will almost certainly re-sign Chelsea.
