Laporte is sure for City, but Pep`s other transfer goal is slipping

The Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte has successfully passed the first part of the medical examinations before his transfer to Manchester City. The rest of the research will be done tomorrow, and then the central defender will sign with the `citizens`, says 'Daily Mail'. Laporte will cost the leader in the Premier League 65m euros. He did not take part in the match via arbitrage betting middles against Athletic against Eibar on Friday (1:1) and has already said goodbye to his teammates. In the current season the 23-year-old has 19 games in La Liga.

Man City is also trying to attract a midfielder to Shakhtar (Donetsk) Fred, but the talks are in trouble. The reason is that the Ukrainians do not want to part with one of their most important players just before the Champions League eighth rounds against Roma. City offered 55, 5 million for the Brazilian, but Shakhtar rejec ted the offer. However, Josep Guardiola will not give up the midfielder and in the summer the negotiations between the two clubs will be resumed.
