The German Football Association (DFB) wants to file a lawsuit against FIFA at CAS.
This is due to the banning of the One Love captaincy at the 2022 World Cup. Recall that the captains of a number of European teams planned to wear this armband in protest against all types of discrimination. However, they had to abandon this promotion due to the risk that players would automatically receive yellow cards.
The DFB intends to appeal the FIFA ban to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. If the application is accepted, then the main proceedings will take place after the end of the tournament, so the German organization is considering applying for temporary legal protection - decisions on such applications are made by a special CAS hotel within 48 hours.
The DFB wants Manuel Neuer to be allowed to wear the One Love armband from the match against Spain on matchday 2 of the group stage. At the same time, the Germans want to eliminate the risk of a yellow card or removing points from the team.
If CAS satisfies the requirements of Germany during the preliminary consideration of the case, and, following the results of the main proceedings, takes the side of FIFA, then this will not cause a change in the results of the team in the tournament predictions by football predictions - for example, it will not be deprived of the title if it becomes the winner of the World Cup.
