Mainz vs Borussia Dortmund

Mainz is going to welcome Borussia Dortmund in a meeting of another round of the German Bundesliga. Check out our football forecast.
Mainz achieved an important victory with a 3:2 in the last round on our visit to the rookie Darmstadt. The success interrupted the series of two defeats for Reds and climbed them on the 8th place in the standings of the Bundesliga. All players in Mainz are waiting eagerly coming head to head as they face off against their former manager - Thomas Tuhel. In the derby with Borussia Dortmund, the hosts will be without the injured Elkin Soto, Nicky Simling, Enrique Sereno and Fabian Frey. The last place in the midfield will be for Danny Latza. In terms of defense, there is a dilemma before the coach of Mainz - Martin Schmidt. On the left, it is not going to be surprising if Pierre Bengston be preferred before Gonzalo Zara to start the game. On the right, the chances of Leon Balagun and Daniel Brosinski to run the derby seem equal.
Borussia Dortmund made its first defeat in the season in the last round. Yellow-black tumbled heavily - 5:1 when they visit the leader Bayern Munich and stayed at the top for seven points in the standings. In the duel with Mainz, Borussia Dortmund will try to break the streak of three games without a win in the Bundesliga. The derby will be missed by the injured Nuri Sahin, Eric Durm and Marcel Schmelzer. In the absence of the latter, as the left-back we will again see the Korean Park Jo Hoo. Thomas Tuhel will bet on the scheme 4-1-4-1 with only Pierre-Emmerick Obameyang on top of the attack. A chance for expression in the middle of the field will once again be gotten by the young Julian Vajgl. On the bench again we will see the new recruit Adnan Anuzaj that will be an option to change first and Thomas Tuhel in the attack at the negative turn of the game.
Mainz and Borussia Dortmund are teams that like attacking and scoring goals. We have all the preconditions to expect a goal spectacle on Friday night. Our football prediction by sure bet is over 3.5 goals.
