5 football players who ended their career this year

For some football players, it has been a dynamic year. For some of them, however, it was the last. Here is a list of five players who have ended their career recently:

1. Sebastian Kale
The long-time footballer and captain of Borussia Dortmund has decided to terminate the professional football of 35 years. Midfielder arrived in Dortmund in 2001, and three times in his career, winning the title in Germany (2002, 2011, 2012)

2. Landon Donovan
America`s favorite Landon Donovan decided to put an end to his sports career, having won the title for the sixth time with LA Galaxy. The 32-year-old scorer participated in four World Cups and for the national team of the United States had 157 derbies.

3. Eric Abidal
The French defender Eric Abidal is finished with football this year, because of personal reasons. The professional career of Abidal was marked with many ups and downs, but the Frenchman has proved to be a real footballer. He won the title in the Champions League in 2009 and 2011.

4. Kuatemok Blanco
The legendary Mexican striker Kuatemok Blanco terminated his rich football career of 42 years of age. For 19 years (1994-2014) the top scorer of the fans cheered `Aztec` with his performances. A favorite of everyone in Mexico, Blanco finished his adventure in the local team of Puebla.

5. Mike Hanke
The 31-year-old striker puts an end to his sports career at the end of December 2014, after a short stay at the Chinese Championships. Hanke, who will be remembered for his appearances in the Bundesliga, had 283 matches, scoring 53 goals.
